Summary:
The civil rights movement was the events of social right movements. It was period of time in which catastrophe was within the United States boarders. The age of television would bring the movement to every home in America, showing the injustice police would take upon the calm, and peaceful protesters asking for equality. Several groups formed from the civil rights movement, they organized and set up occasions to be held in order to resist segregation laws, groups such as the SCLC, CORE, SNCC, and Black Panther Party. Most of these groups were to change de facto segregation. Soon the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Voting Rights Act of 1965, and the Civil Rights Act 1968. The movement slowly gave rights to African Americans, but as groups dismantled the civil rights movement weakened.
